HINGE STRUCTURE OF ARMREST FOR VEHICLE, FOR PREVENTING UNEXPECTED INJURY OF PASSENGER SEATED IN REAR SEAT CAUSED BY ARMREST

PURPOSE: A hinge structure of an armrest for a vehicle is provided to improve convenience in the use and to improve reliability of manufactures, by easing down the opening and shutting speed of the armrest and to protect safety of a passenger seated in a rear seat. CONSTITUTION: A hinge structure of an armrest for a vehicle comprises a lower hinge member(10) fixed to the inner bottom surface of a console box; a stopper member(20) combined to the inside of guide parts(11) upwardly projected on the sides of the lower hinge member; an upper hinge member(30) rotatably combined to the lower hinge member via a shaft(31); cap members(40) one side of which is combined to fixing grooves(32) formed in the sides of the upper hinge member and the other side is fastened to the guide rail in a close contact state; and an elastic member(50) combined to the shaft to rotate the upper hinge member to a side of the lower hinge member. A hinge hole(12) is formed in the guide part. A through hole(21) is formed at the same position of the hinge hole in the stopper member. A guide rail(22) is formed in a side of the stopper member. A pressing part(23) is protruded to the upper part of the guide rail. A guide hole(33) is formed in the fixing groove. The upper hinge member is combined to the bottom of the armrest. If the upper hinge member rotates around the shaft to a side of the lower hinge member, the cap members come in contact with the upper hinge member and the guide rail by the pressing part formed to the guide rail and the rotating speed is reduced. The ends of the elastic member are inserted in the guide holes to press the cap members combined to the fixing grooves and are touched with the inside of the cap members.
