PURPOSE: A system for detecting short of an electric vehicle is provided to increase the stability of a vehicle by generating a contact resistance between a high voltage line and a body of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A power supplying unit(110) supplies power to an electric vehicle. A short detecting unit(120) is connected between a body of the electric vehicle and a power supplying line by an electrical circuit to detect a contact resistance generated between a high voltage line of the body of the electric vehicle. An ECU(Engine Control Unit)(130) analyzes signals inputted through the short detecting unit(120) to determine a short condition. A display(140) receives data from the ECU(130) and displays it thereon, wherein the data represents the determined short condition.
