FIELD: optical investigation methods. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes transfer of combustion products through gas conduit and measurement of intensity of light flux passed from light source to detector at its sectional area in absence and presence of combustion products followed by evaluation of light flux decay. In the process inherent glow intensity of combustion products is measured and measurement results are included in evaluation of decay of combustion product relative light flux; measurements are made at gas conduit outlet which should be isolated from background illumination sources. Facility implementing this method mounts additional radiation detector disposed in same plane as main one beyond response area of radiation source . Measuring unit is installed at gas conduit outlet and shielding cab is erected around it that has gas escape window and light-absorbing coating on inner surfaces. ^ EFFECT: reduced measurement error. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg |
