PURPOSE: An SAR(Specific Absorption Rate) warning device within a mobile communication terminal is provided to warn a user of the terminal that harmful electromagnetic waves are being emitted from the terminal when an AGC(Automatic Gain Control) value exceeds a certain value, so that a user can separate a terminal from the user's body or stop a call. CONSTITUTION: A Tx AGC detector(5) detects the AGC value of an RF signal to be transmitted. An MSM(4) compares the detected AGC value with a predetermined AGC value. If the detected AGC value is larger than the predetermined AGC value, the MSM(4) outputs a warning control signal. An indicator(6) receives the warning control signal from the MSM(4), and then generates a warning sound. The predetermined AGC value corresponds to an SAR standard. The indicator(6) is an LED or a buzzer.
