FIELD: ionizing radiation shielding means. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed composite material incorporates fiberglass as reinforcing filler and binder with powder-like filler. Epoxy compound used as binder has following ingredients: epoxy-novolak resin EN-6, 100 parts; furfuryl-glycidic ester, 20.4 parts; catalyst UP-605/3, 3.6 parts; curing resin, 6.0 parts. Binder has 1300 parts by weight of powder-like filler in the form of finely dispersed powdered tungsten by 130 parts by weight of resin. Phenol-formaldehyde binder of vanish SKC-1 and alkali solution of resol phenol-formaldehyde resin can be also used for the purpose. In this case binder incorporates 1000 parts by weight of finely dispersed powder-like tungsten by 100 parts by weight of resin. Composite material manufacturing process includes impregnation of reinforcing filler with binder, assembling of impregnated layers of reinforcing filler into stacks, and placing of stacks on molding band.
