PURPOSE: An information browsing method using a set-top-box having a TV plaza function is provided to browse search items easily and rapidly without having connection with an external server. CONSTITUTION: A TV plaza information signal is transmitted to a set-top-box(1) including a TV plaza storage device(600) and stored in the storage device irrespective of user's request, to construct a TV plaza in the set-top-box. When a user selects an item to be searched in a picture displayed on the user's TV(2), meta data of the item is bookmarked in a memory of the set-top-box. Data related to the meta data of the item is extracted from TV plaza information stored in the storage device. The extracted data is transmitted to the user's TV and displayed.
