PURPOSE: A data reproducing device and a data reproducing method, a reproducing device for recording data on a list and a data recording/reproducing method are provided to show different changes whenever data is read from a recording medium, to output different data, so that a user can enjoy the same data without being tired of the data even though the same data is repeatedly reproduced. CONSTITUTION: A conversion information generation circuit(18) generates different conversion information whenever data is read from an optical disk(1) or the data is repeatedly read, and supplies the generated different conversion information to a data converter(20). The data converter(20) converts data supplied through an RF amplifier(6), an EFM demodulation circuit(7), a CIRC decoder(8), and an error interpolating circuit(9) from an optical pickup(5) according to the supplied conversion information, and supplies the converted data to an output terminal(19).
