PURPOSE: A peculiar channel setting method between a television and a remote controller is provided to connect the television and the remote controller by using an I2C line and download peculiar channel information to the remote controller, thereby capable of viewing a desired channel regardless of a place. CONSTITUTION: A remote controller and a television are connected by using an I2C line and then the television is driven by the remote controller(201). After driving the television, a user inputs a key corresponding to a peculiar channel setting(202). A microcomputer provides a key input signal to a microcomputer within the television by using the I2C line(203). The television microcomputer provides peculiar channel information to an OSD(On Screen Display), reads peculiar channel information stored to a channel information memory and then provides it to the microcomputer of the remoter controller through the I2C line(204). The microcomputer of the remote controller downloads the peculiar channel information and stores it to a memory(205). |
