PURPOSE: A differential amplification type input buffer of a semiconductor device is provided to reduce unnecessary current consumption. CONSTITUTION: According to the differential amplification type input buffer, a differential input unit receives a reference voltage and an input signal. A current mirroring unit is connected between the differential input unit and the first power supply. And a biasing unit is connected between the differential input unit and the second power supply, and provides a bias current in response to an auto refresh period signal. CMOS inverters(I1,I2) are connected to an output port provided in one side of the differential input unit. And a precharge unit precharges the output port in response to the auto refresh period signal.
