COLOR ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE DISPLAY HAVING IMPROVED POWER EFFICIENCY

PURPOSE: A color organic light emitting diode display is provided to be applied to a color display device with compatibility to stripe pattern arrangements and to improve a power efficiency of displays of various software. CONSTITUTION: A color organic light emitting diode(OLED) display includes an OLED pixel array(10) emitting light. Each pixel has three or more gamut elements for emitting light of different colors defining a gamut and at least one additional element for emitting light of specified color within the gamut. A power efficiency of the additional element is higher than a power efficiency of the three or more gamut element. Gamut elements of each color in a display are arranged in a first direction in a line so that the different colors of the gamut elements is not in the line. The gamut elements having colors are arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction in a line so that the colors of the gamut elements alternate. The additional elements are arranged in the first direction and the second direction in the lines.
