PURPOSE: A method and a system for approximating a series expansion function are provided to effectively reduce an error from an ideal function value with expanding a small number of terms when a series is expanded. CONSTITUTION: The Taylor series expansion of a finite term N is performed for an input signal. The Taylor series expansion of the term N is performed for the input signal. A weight(alpha) is multiplied to a result of the Taylor series expansion for the term N-1. The result of the Taylor series expansion for the term N-1 multiplied by the weight is added to the result of the Taylor series expansion for the term N. An addition result is divided by alpha+1.
