PURPOSE: A washing machine and a dry-control method thereof are provided to improve drying performance, to prevent an excessive dry and damage of the laundry, and to save energy by completing a dry operation regardless of the weight and moisture of the laundry and the temperature of cold water supplied into a condensing duct. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine for drying the laundry in a rotary tub(12) by circulating the air heated by a drying heater(44) is composed of a condensing duct(43) for guiding the air to be sucked into the drying heater after passing through the rotary tub; a cold water supply unit for feeding cold water into the condensing duct; a water temperature sensing unit(65) for detecting the temperature of the water condensed by contacting the circulated air and the cold water in the condensing duct; and a controller for deciding a finish time for completing a drying operation of the laundry based on the water temperature sensed by the water temperature sensing unit, and completing the drying operation according to a decided result.
