PURPOSE: A replay or recording appliance for an optical recording medium having an inclination control system is provided to multiply a lower envelope curve signal by a modulation signal upstream an inclination control system, and to add the modulation signal to an output signal from an inclination controller for vertically arraying scanning beams going toward an optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION: A lower envelope curve signal(Io) of an RF signal(HF) is detected by an optical recording medium, and shows a dark value of the detected RF signal(HF). The lower envelope curve signal(Io) is used for inclination controlling. The RF signal(HF) is detected by an information track of the optical recording medium, and is used as a reproduced information signal after being filtered in high band. The RF signal(HF) is a wobble signal(WOB) of the optical recording medium.
