A floor covering (1) made of an elastomeric material is disclosed with a structured top surface (2), wherein the top surface (2) is provided with irregularly distributed, partially overlapping, preferably nested protrusions (3) of rectangular or square shap e with rounded corners and sizes (edge lengths) between 1.2 and 6 mm, whereby the height; o f the protrusions (H) is between 0.01 mm and 0.1 mm.
