<p>PURPOSE: A cement composition containing fly ash is provided to solve the problem of compressive strength decrease caused by utilizing a large quantity of fly ashes, while maintaining advantageous properties of fly ashes such as durability, resistance to water, water tight property, etc. CONSTITUTION: The cement composition containing fly ash comprises 20-30 wt% of Portland cement, 40-70 wt% of fly ash and 1-10 wt% of alum, based on the total weight of the composition. Further, the composition may comprise 3-10 wt% of gypsum for accelerated condensation or 0.1-1 wt% of carbon for enhanced strength, if desired. In addition to the above ingredients, other conventional additives such as high strength materials and early strength materials may be employed.</p> |
