PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing linear rail to greatly improve varieties of mechanical properties and substantially extend durable life cycle of the linear rail by constantly increasing contents of carbon, manganese and chromium and maintaining nonmetallic inclusion and oxygen to very low contents. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a process of an end part of round bar made of steel comprising 0.65 wt.% of carbon, 0.92 wt.% of manganese, 0.1 wt.% of chromium, 0.25 wt.% of silicon, 0.015 wt.% of phosphorus, 0.018 wt.% of sulfur, 0.05 wt.% of molybdenum, 0.13 wt.% of nickel, 0.18 wt.% of copper, 0.0008 wt.% of oxygen, 0.002 wt.% of titanium and 97.6842 wt.% of iron in such a way that the end part of the round bar corresponds to a lead-in part of dies; a process of leading the round bar in the dies, and cold drawing the round bar in a rail shape; a process of annealing the rail by heating the cold drawn rail to a certain temperature and slowly cooling the heated rail; a process of leveling the annealed rail so that the rail is accurately straightened; and a process of cutting the leveled rail to a certain length to manufacture a linear rail comprising 0.65 wt.% of carbon, 0.92 wt.% of manganese, 0.1 wt.% of chromium, 0.25 wt.% of silicon, 0.015 wt.% of phosphorus, 0.018 wt.% of sulfur, 0.05 wt.% of molybdenum, 0.13 wt.% of nickel, 0.18 wt.% of copper, 0.0008 wt.% of oxygen, 0.002 wt.% of titanium and 97.6842 wt.% of iron.
