The additive reservoir (1) consists of a plastic container located outside the main fuel tank and connected to it by a filling pipe (2). It can replace or be located alongside a degassing chamber at the top of the main tank filling pipe. An additive filling tube and main tank degassing tube meet at a point at the top of the main tank filling pipe located to one side of the filling nozzle guide hole, and the degassing tube is fitted at the top with a visual overflow indicator. The lower part of the additive reservoir is fitted with an additive doser connected by its outlet to the main fuel tank. The additive reservoir is made by extrusion-blowing or injection moulding and welding half-shells, and is then assembled with a main tank filling pipe.
