PURPOSE: A fuel cell and an operation method of a fuel cell are provided, to simplify the construction of a fuel cell with maintaining the optimum value of fuel concentration for electricity generation, thereby reducing the size. CONSTITUTION: The fuel cell comprises a plurality of electricity generation units which has each electrolyte, and a fuel electrode and an air electrode located at both sides of the electrolyte, wherein the fuel cell comprises an upper stream generation part(32) formed by a generation unit located at the upper stream of the fuel flowing direction; a downstream generation part(33) formed by a generation unit located at the downstream of the fuel flowing direction; and a fuel concentration controlling part(50) for controlling the concentration of the fuel supplied to the fuel electrode according to the output power density at the upper stream generation part and the output power density at the downstream generation part. If the voltage of the upper stream is higher than that of the downstream, the concentration of fuel is reduced. |
