PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a roll-spacing of a continuous casting machine, by which all of the measured data are utilized and whether or not the obtained data are roll-spacings is discriminated, and by which temporal facility-management of the continuous casting machine, which is important for the quality of a slab, is conducted. SOLUTION: Roll-spacing data measured by a roll-spacing measuring device and roll-position data detected by a roll-position detecting sensor are each taken in a mobile station annexed to the roll-spacing measuring device. The roll-spacing data taken in are sampled at a predetermined interval, the sampled data and the roll-position data are taken in a ground station, and all of both data taken in are memorized. The waveforms of the sampled data and the roll-position data are displayed, and the peak value of the waveform of the sampled data at the position corresponding to the waveform of the roll-position data is made a roll-spacing of the continuous casting machine.
