TIME CODE CONVERSION DEVICE AND VIDEO CONVERSION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time code conversion device in which responsiveness of conversion of a time code is improved, and provide a video conversion device provided with the time code conversion device. SOLUTION: A pattern detector 9 detects a phase difference pattern between time information added to a first video signal (30FPS signal) and time information serving as a reference at the time of converting a second video signal (24FPS signal). The time converter 7 reads a conversion table corresponding to the detected phase difference pattern from a storage unit 10, and converts a first time code (TC30) and a second time code (TC24) based on the conversion table which is read from the storage unit 10. Thus, a point can be set where the first time code and the second time code are synchronized at an interval shorter than timing when synchronization of a synchronizing signal of the first video signal and a synchronizing signal of the second video signal is matched.
