PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable communication device capable of being operated while it is in a charging state, and to provide a charger. SOLUTION: The communication device is put on the installation pit 401 of the charger 400 and the supporting section 402 of the charger 400 prevents the communication device from falling down backward. Further, since the hinge of the communication device exists not at the bottom of the communication device but at a position several centimeters spaced upward from the bottom, a second casing 200 of the communication device can be opened in the direction of an arrow B.
