PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial cable having improved cooling capability. SOLUTION: This coaxial cable, which can transfer an HF-output of 1 MW or more with the aid of an improved cooling means even in a continuous operation, has an inner conductor 3 through which a cooling medium can flow. The cooling medium can be supplied or drained through a hollow tube 5 made of an insulating material. Especially when a tube 7 having a diameter smaller than that of the inner conductor 3 is installed in the inner conductor 3 and the cooling medium flows only through the ring chamber between the tube 7 and the inner conductor 3, a significant weight saving can be achieved without substantial reduction in cooling efficiency.
