PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus wherein an imaging element is fixed onto a support member with a simple structure and a high resistance to high ambient temperature while being curved in a concaved shape. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus C1, an image forming lens unit 11 forms the image of an object onto the imaging element 1. The thickness of the imaging element 1 is selected to be several tensμm, so that the imaging element 1 can easily be deformed and fixed to a recessed part 4 of a wiring board 3 in a curved state by means of an adhesive 8. The wiring board 3 comprises a base member 3a formed by impregnating an epoxy or acrylic resin to fibers made of a material with a low coefficient of expansion such as glass or aramid and a conductor 6 formed by plating or the like. The element side electrode 2 on the imaging element 1 is connected to a board side electrode 5 via a wire 9, and further electrically connected to an external terminal 10 via a conductor wire 6 acting as part of the wiring board 3.
