PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING COIL COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component in which productivity is enhanced by suppressing occurrence of cracking at an enclosure part even if it is formed to envelop the coil part in magnetic powder. SOLUTION: In the coil component, a coil part 23 formed by winding a flat wire 21 edgewise in the vertical direction is enveloped in a green compact 24 of magnetic powder and the green compact 24 is pressure molded again to form an enclosure part 25. The flat wire 21 is wound around a spindle 45 having a radial dimension increased from the center to the opposite end parts of winding width of the coil part 23. The wire 21 has a thickness dimension 27 on the outer circumferential side set smaller than the thickness dimension 28 on the inner circumferential side, and the coil part 23 has an interval 29 of middle point of the inner circumferential side of adjacent wires 21 set shorter than the interval 30 of middle point of the outer circumferential side of adjacent wires and a winding width dimension 31 on the outer circumferential side set smaller than the winding width dimension 32 on the inner circumferential side.
