PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary stop warning device giving an alarm according to the probability of a driver performing a temporary stop. SOLUTION: This temporary stop warning device comprises a temporary stop position storage means for storing a temporary stop point where a vehicle should temporarily stop; a present position detection means for detecting the present position of the vehicle; a speed detection means for detecting the traveling speed of the vehicle; and a braking necessary state determination means for determining a state needing the braking of the vehicle based on signals from the present position detection means, the temporary stop position storage means and the speed detection means, and outputting an instruction to an alarm device to issue an alarm to the driver when the state needing the braking of the vehicle is determined. The braking necessary state determination means comprises a carelessness induction degree determination means for determining the carelessness induction degree of the driver in the temporary stop point, and a warning condition adjustment means for adjusting the issuing condition of the alarm issued by the alarm device.
