PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending-work apparatus with which an optimum butting position to the butting surface shapes of various workpieces can automatically be decided. SOLUTION: The bending-work apparatus performs the bending-work to a bending line of the workpiece by the joint operation of a punch and a die under a state where one end of the workpiece is butted to the butting of a back gauge. The apparatus is provided with: a product information inputting means 25 for inputting the product information; a bending order and metallic mold deciding means 29 for deciding the bending order and the metallic mold on the basis of the product information inputted by this product information inputting means 25; a restricting condition file 31 for storing the butting position decision restricting condition for deciding the butting position in each bending order; and a butting position deciding means 33 for deciding the butting position on the basis of each restricting condition filed in this restricting condition file 31.
