PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method and a drying apparatus for a hollow fiber membrane bundle efficiently drying the bundle in a short period of time while suppressing lowering of performance and thermal oxidation, after wrapping the bundle wound in a wet state with a film. SOLUTION: In this hollow fiber membrane bundle drying method, the hollow fiber membrane bundle 1 in the wet state is irradiated with microwave in a low vacuum state. A plurality of the hollow fiber membrane bundles 2 formed by winding a plurality of hollow fiber membranes 1 with the film in the wet state, are set on a turntable 4 in the drying apparatus 3 and irradiated with microwave by a microwave generation device 5; and air in the drying apparatus is sucked by a vacuum pump 6 to dry in a low vacuum state.
