PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire coating apparatus capable of carrying out the coating with a release agent in a short time and capable of eliminating problems of contamination and wipe-off labor after work. SOLUTION: The release agent is applied to the outer surface of a release agent coating part 16 comprising a hollow spherical elastomer and the release agent-applied release agent coating part 16 is inserted in a green tire 66. Thereafter, the release agent coating part 16 is expanded by the supply of air to transfer the release agent, which is bonded to the surface of the release agent coating part 16, to the inner surface of the green tire 66. Since the release agent, which is bonded to the surface of the release agent coating part 16, is transferred to the inner surface of the green tire 66, the scattering of the release agent becoming a problem in a spray system can be prevented certainly and the release agent can be applied to the green tire 66 in a short time.
