PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine wherein performance giving interest to a player is carried out while the player waits for the stop of variable indications on variable display devices. SOLUTION: In the game machine provided with variable display devices (2, 3, 4) for variably displaying a plurality of patterns within display windows, variable indication stop instructing means (12, 13, 14) for instructing the stop of the variable indications of pattern streams, and a control means (20) for starting the variable indications in response to a predetermined start command and for stopping the variable indications in response to the stop command of the variable indication stop instructing means, the control means (20) changes a change speed of patterns or stops changing of the patterns at least once from the occurrence of the stop command to the stop of the variable indications of the patterns in accordance with preset conditions.
