PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intracorporeal insertion type ultrasonic probe which can be contributed to the reduction of the production cost while a thinner diameter is realized by simplifying a structure of a bearing mechanism. SOLUTION: The intracavity type ultrasonic probe is provided with an ultrasonic oscillator, a housing 11 for holding the ultrasonic oscillator, a flexible shaft 12 for transmitting a rotary motion to the housing, a sheath 15 covering the external surface of the flexible shaft and the bearing mechanism which rotatably connects the housing and a rotary part containing the flexible shaft to the sheath. An inner rotary part (joint part 13) of the bearing mechanism is integrated with the housing while the outer support member (bearing member 14) of the bearing mechanism is made dividable with a hollow metal member.
