<p>An engine control system (1) detects the amount of air sucked by an engine (2) based on the output of an air flow meter (14) provided in an air intake passage (4), on the downstream side of a throttle valve (12). Then, based on the air amount detected, the engine control system (1) obtains the amount of fuel to be injected and injects the fuel from an injector. The air flow meter (14) is installed at a position on the downstream side of the throttle valve (12), away from the valve (12) by a predetermined distance corresponding to twice to four times the diameter of the air intake passage (4).</p> |
