<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ocular lens that efficiently hold a medicine and effectively sustain/release the medicine, and is practical, and an ionic high polymer gel, the amount of inclusion of which can be controlled in accordance with the efficacy of the medicine used. <P>SOLUTION: The copolymer is a copolymer of a hydrophobic monomer having a hydroxyl group in the molecule, at least a kind of methacrylate having a phosphate group represented by Structural formula (I), a monomer containing nitrogen atoms in the side chain and a monomer that can be copolymerized with the components.
