<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing circuit for detecting the peak value and polarity of partial discharge signal generated in a high voltage rotating machine. <P>SOLUTION: Electric partial discharge signal waveform including pulses or vibration after a pulse is shaped into a single half wave having the initial half wave peak value and the polarity of the partial discharge signal waveform, by constituting the device with a plurality of connected operation circuits consisting of the peak value detecting circuits with individual half wave of straight polarity and negative polarity connected in parallel, and adding circuits for adding outputs of the peak value detecting circuits.
