<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet aftertreating device capable of improving the stacking capability and the aligning capability (longitudinal aligning capability) of a stapling tray. SOLUTION: A taking off roller 6 is located close to a stapling tray 21 provided to be vertically inclined, and a rear end fence 19 is provided in the rear end of the stapling tray. A compression member 100 capable of reciprocating in the direction of compressing sheets, and verticall moving in parallel with the inclined plane of the stapling tray 21, is provided below the taking off roller 6 and close to the rear end fence 19. when sheets are discharged from the taking off roller 6, the compression member 100 is moved upward to close up the taking off roller 6, and thus to move the sheets toward the rear end fence 19 by means of a sheet guide face 100b. After that, the sheets are compressed by a sheet compressing face 100a.</p> |
