PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for balancing a disk in a hard disk drive. SOLUTION: The disk balancing device of a hard disk drive is provided, which includes an eccentricity detecting means for detecting the eccentric amount and the eccentric position of the hard disk with the rotation center axis of a spindle motor for rotating a hard disk as an original point, and a pressing means 230 for pushing the outer periphery of the hard disk in the eccentric position to move the hard disk to the rotation center axis side of the spindle motor by the eccentric amount.
