PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of protecting the security of an image file for storing a photographed image. SOLUTION: When the non-display setting of an image file in a JPEG format recorded on an SD card is designated, a password is entered (S200). Data other than those denoting a JPEG file such as a value '0000' are stored to a segment started from an SOI marker of a header of the image file (S202).
