PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup receiving base for an ice making unit capable of receiving ice falling outside a cup while allowing natural drainage of collected water. SOLUTION: This cup receiving base for the ice making unit is provided with a receiving base body having a prescribed space part, and a receiving base plate placed on the upper part of the receiving base body. A drain port for draining water collected in the space part, to the outside is formed at the lower face of the receiving base body. The drain port is formed at an intermediate part of the lower face of the receiving base body and connected to a drain cylinder built in the ice making unit. The receiving base plate is formed with a large number of cylindrical holes larger in size than ice pieces to allow the ice pieces falling outside the cup, to enter the space part of the receiving base body.
