PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excess load applied to a rotor by regulating the waste catching state without interrupting crushing. SOLUTION: A crushing rotor 3 is rotatably provided at a lower part of a hopper 2 for throwing the waste D and a plurality of pushers 5 for pressing the waste D toward the above crushing rotor 3 are provided in parallel. They are independently advanced/retreated. The rotor 3 is driven by a motor 15 and a current detector 12 is provided on the motor 15. When a load current exceeds a predetermined value, a hydraulic cylinder 6 is controlled to relax pressing of any one of the pusher 5. Therefore, stopping of the device caused by the excess load of the motor is easily prevented. Further, since the pusher is selectively moved, the pressing of the pusher 5 of a part applied with the load can be selectively relaxed by action of the cylinder 6. Therefore, since it is not required that the whole of the pusher 5 is retreated to stop the crushing, it is efficient and the waste catching position and angle can be varied.
