摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum design method of a structure capable of executing calculation without conducting special processing, even when a total rigidity matrix gets singular which simplifies a program thereby, and reduces the calculation volume. SOLUTION: In this optimum design method of a structure for finding a solution to a structure optimum design problem formulated as a double optimization problem having a first and second solution finding processes, a state variable vector serves as a displacement in each node, a design variable vector serves as an existence rate of a structural member in each element, the first solution finding process includes the second solution finding process as one step thereof and reads out the stored design variable vector and the state variable vector to update the design variable vector, and the second solution finding process reads out the stored design variable vector and the state variable vector to update the state variable vector (S304). The second evaluation functional of the second solution finding process is constituted of the norm of a residual vector (S305), and the state variable vector is not initialized at the time point when the second solution finding process is started.
