PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the uniformity of an active matrix type display device by adding a precharge function to a horizontal driving circuit. SOLUTION: The horizontal driving circuit 17 applies duplex sampling pulses consisting of a first pulse and a second pulse to one sampling switch HSW. The first pulse precharges a signal line 12 by a video signal Video and the second pulse samples the video signal Video to the signal line 12. When the second pulse of the duplex sampling pulses applied to the preceding sampling switch HSW 1 and the first pulse of the duplex sampling pulses applied to the succeeding sampling switch HSW 3 are related to be overlap each other in time, the preceding sampling switch HSW 1 and the succeeding sampling switch HSW 3 connect video lines 25 and 27 of the systems which are separate from each other, thereby preventing the interference of the video signals between both.
