PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitive load driving device and the like capable of generating correct driving pulses while suppressing electric power consumption. SOLUTION: The capacitive load driving device for driving a capacitive load is equipped with a power source B1 for supplying an electric current toward a plasma display panel 10, a switch SY-ofs, switch S21 and switch S22 connected to the power source B1 to apply the driving pulses to the plasma display panel 10 and a load circuit 50 functioning as a negative resistor to be a load on the power source B1. The device can apply a suction capability while suppressing the electric power consumption in the load circuit 50 without depending upon the power source voltage of the power source B1.
