PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detecting the nesting line of a cardboard sheet, for inspecting the position. SOLUTION: Two one-dimensional CCD cameras 16, for scanning the entire width of a cardboard sheet 11, to which a cut line 17 parallel to a travel direction is provided, are installed above the travel line of the cardboard sheet 11. A halogen lamp 18 for emitting light in a direction orthogonal to the cut line 17, diagonally from above, on the surface of the cardboard sheet 11 which is imaged with each CCD camera 16, so that shade is generated at each part of the cut line 17. Thus, each cut line 17 is properly detected from the image which is imaged with the CCD camera 16, and its position is inspected with a controller 19. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
