PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element that comprises a high-viscosity resin composition having stabilized adhesion even under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions as well as high transparency, and to obtain an ultraviolet curing type epoxy resin composition for fixing optical parts. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet-curing type epoxy resin composition comprises (A) an epoxy resin that contains an epoxy resin (a1) bearing a naphthelene skeleton represented by formula (1), an epoxy resin (a2) bearing a naphthalene skeleton represented by formula (2) and an alicyclic epoxy resin (a3) and (B) a photopolymerization initiator.
