PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily cope with positional variation on a wheel to which a wheel state transmitting device is attached. SOLUTION: Upper and lower metallic plates 15a and 15b are provided on a valve cap 15 so that different combination can be achieved for respective positions of the wheel. A microcomputer 11 detects a state of the wheel and existence or non existence of the upper and lower metallic plates 15a and 15b of the valve cap 15, and transmits the state of the wheel and the position information in accordance with the position of the wheel.
