A panel beating hammer has interchangeable heads fitted to either end of the head mounting. The heads are located onto profiled mountings and are secured by grub screws threaded into the side of the head mounting. The ends of the grub screws are conical and self align into locking profiles in the shafts of the different heads. The hammer mounting head can be made of moulded plastic with metal insert sleeves for reinforcing.
