The crimp connection uses an outwards projecting bead (5) provided at the tubular terminal end (3) of the cable shoe (1), fitted to the end of the filament cable (10) so that the cable insulation (12) fits over the bead, with crimping of the cable shoe for securing the filament cable at a region (7) which is not covered by the cable insulation. An independent claim for a method for manufacture of a water-tight crimp connection between a tubular cable shoe and an electrical filament cable is also included.
