The flower stand has a decorative plate (1) with an insert groove (10) into which a vase (2) is fitted. On the top side the vase has an opening (20) and on the outside wall an engagement block (21) so that the decorative plate can be fitted on the stationary surface of an area where fresh flowers are to be placed. The stationary surface can be a front plate of an urn casing, the surface of a wall, a furniture surface etc. the case can be filled with fresh flowers.
