FUNCTION VALIDATING RECORDING MEDIUM, FUNCTION VALIDATING DEVICE, CONTROL DEVICE, AND FUNCTION VALIDATING SYSTEM

A function validating recording medium (30a) is used to validate a particular invalidated function of a controller (2) and can prevent unauthorized validation of a particular function. The function validating recording medium (30a) includes a read priority region (31) and a read-enabled region (32). The read priority region (31) is a region which cannot be read by a general-purpose personal computer or the like and on which a validation boot loader (41) read and executed upon start of the controller (2) is recorded. On the read-enabled region (32), a validation OS (42) and a validation program (43) are recorded. The validation boot loader (41) causes the controller (2) to read and execute the validation OS (42) while the validation OS (42) causes the controller (2) to read and execute the validation program (43). When the validation program (43) is executed by the controller (2), a particular function of the controller (2) is validated and the validation boot loader (41) recorded in the read priority region (31) is erased.
