METHOD FOR PREPARING ION EXCHANGE RESIN FOR SELECTIVELY REMOVING HALOGEN COMPOUNDS IN FLUID SUCH AS WASTE WATER

PURPOSE: A method for preparing an ion exchange resin is provided to remove halogen compounds contained in fluid such as waste water in a selective and efficient way, thereby, in a quantitative analysis, improving the sensitivity of an analysis equipment used thereto and prolonging the equipment service life. The ion exchange resin can be advantageously used in waste water treatment generated from an iron manufacturing plant by recycling the waste water as a cooling water, thereby helping to reduce environmental problems and production cost. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing an ion exchange resin for halogen compounds removal comprises: carrying out suspension polymerization by using styrene as monomer and divinyl benzene as a crosslinking agent to obtain porous polymer matrix; reacting the matrix with sulfuric acid to obtain a cation exchange resin; and reacting the cation exchange resin with silver.
