<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy wiring material with high conductivity, tensile strength, and elongation useful for an electric automobile, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The wiring material used for a harness for an automobile is made of an aluminum alloy wiring material composed of 0.3 to 1.0 wt.% of iron, 0.02 to 0.30 wt.% of zirconium, and the rest of aluminum with impurities of 0.05 wt.% or less. The aluminum alloy wiring wi is put in a continuous furnace 10 running to thermally refine it in a semihard state, to be endowed with characteristics of a tensile strength of 130 MPa to 220 MPa, and an elongation of 3% to 15% out of mechanical characteristics as well as characteristics of a conductivity of 27.8×10<SP>6</SP>S/m (48% IACS) or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
